... Except the ending to TTGL was extremely poor in the anime ending.

I don't care if it's supposed to be a parody, almost copy and pasting your last big hit is really bad. That's all just my opinion though.

Yeah, well, you're one of the few who didn't enjoy TTGL's ending. It's a valid opinion, just, it isn't the same as the majority.

"Don't fix what isn't broken" is fine but I don't exactly care for "keep breaking what's already broken". I may disagree with TTGL's ending at some points, but at the very least it had impact and purpose. Senketsu going left with "sailor uniforms are meant to be grown out of", which is trying to teach the lesson of growing up and telling Ryuko she had freedom.

Ryuko was manipulated the majority of the series by Satsuki and Ragyo, or went along with Nudist Beach instead of 100% her own choices or opinions... except when she did refuse Senketsu. The "growing up" she could've done was right there, but Trigger dropped it and instead had her taken over by Junketsu and then went right back to Senketsu. They also could've had proper growing up when Senketsu got cut up by Nui and taken by Honnoji, but they just had a montage of Ryuko going around and taking Senketsu pieces back all in one episode.

It was supposed to be a liberation theme but I can't feel anything meaningful from the lesson other than "finally god ryuko can stop being everyone's b****".

TTGL's finale left the impact of humans being able to do anything if they believed and kicked and punched and screamed hard enough against odds. It also showed that while humanity could be its own downfall, it is also its own uprising(aka Spiral Nemesis vs Simon's belief in humans and himself). It was inspirational. klk didn't feel that way to me.

"Fashion Week" was definitely the fun bit about all of this though.

I believe the whole point of Ryuko being everyone's b**** is that the plot of the anime itself, which is the threat of clothing taking over humanity, needed the lesson that humans are humans, and clothing is clothing. What I mean is, Ryuko was always under control of someone until she broke free of that using those words.

I just can't see major flaws in the ending. Yes, it's cliché, yes, it was kinda forced, but how many shows don't have cliché and forced endings? Not many.

Technically Satsuki was just leading her on, but yeah.

I wouldn't exactly call it justified to say just because a lot of everything else is cliche Trigger's choice of writing was "good".

Hm, you have a point. Just because it's cliché, it doesn't mean it's good.

I still cannot think of it as a bad ending though. It was okay.

Yeah in general the finale was okay. You can have your opinion, I just personally think the last bit was unnecessary and stuff was rushed. The fights were fun as hell though and I enjoyed Super Shadow.

Fashion Week was honestly the best nonsense name for a finishing move, ever.

BUT THEY WENT ON A DATE AND SENKETSU DIED. AND MATOI CALLED SATUSKI "NEE-CHAN"

    RyuMako is clearly canon.

The first time Gamagoori goes for the sex with Mako, her silk skin will be forever tainted.

Seriously I don't think Mako would survive that
