China is also part of the 1%, and no, they don't OWN you, they're currently the biggest economical force in the world, so the "own" all of us.

Being the leading world superpower doesn't mean they "own" every other country. They just have the largest economical state with the largest working force behind it. You can't "own" the world without first having conquered it, no? It just means that countries like the UK and the USA (to name very few) will want to keep their ties with China in good stead.

idk how much basketball players get paid out there, but is it as absurd as 100-200k a week?

Average yearly salary is 5.15 million. The best get close to 16 million. I call that overpaid.

I always thought that American Football was more Brutal then Rugby. Probally something to do with all that Armor. Also Soccer always rubbed me the wrong way. We still call American Football, American Football here in Blighty.
