I actually have no idea what to think of this card.

He's great in limited, that's a given... And I doubt he's any good in standard because he just have better spot removal... But it's such a weird, yet interesting, design.

What. Umm...Staticaster seems like the most obvious way to make this Standard playable (with pump or a lord like Mayor of Avabruck), but Izzet Staticaster-Nightshade Peddler is still a better combo :>

Don't get me wrong, I think this is actually a really cool card, but it's really wonky. Susceptible to removal that isn't damage-based, and it's a 1/1 without bonuses in any way.

I mean, Giant Growth /is/ in Standard, but then you're running GBW, and I have no idea how Selesnya x Orzhov merging works out.

Probably. Auras aren't a very relevant card type in that format, so I doubt this'll get much use there.

As for casual...well...not sure if Lure would be a good combo with this or not.

I like it, it looks fun to use.

I'm thinking Divine Favor would help with giving him the chance to survive longer. As I am still a novice, I should probably ask. Thoughts?

+1/+1 counters are far more reliable. GBW is the most natural fit for it. I assume a quirky way to do it in those colours is use Ulvenwald Tracker and Prey Upon to turn it into a removal machine gun. I'd use Izzet Staticaster if I could, but the manabase would be horrid.

This just doesn't have constructed application, simple as that.

If he flew, sure, but he doesn't. You're better off just playing a kill spell since then it can't be Pillar'd on an empty board.

Not to mention, this makes their kill spells actually live, whereas otherwise only your tokens tend to, bar a bomb or two like Obzedat (which barely dies to any removal, itself)

Why couldn't we have had Vindicate, Wizards? Why? :C

They wouldn't reprint Vindicate for modern, lets be honest.

As much as I would love for that to happen.

I would love a return of Mortify. Or a neo-Mortify. On a similar note, Clan Defiance reminds me of Savage Twister. In fact, Sphinx's Revelation reminds me of Overrule.
