So, what colour do you feel benefits more from having Wrath of God-sweepers? Black or White?

White fits more, but Damnation is essential in a lot of decks like Deckout.

Damnation would never be released if it wasn't for Time Spiral madness anyway.

Purely because of the way I personally play MBC, I think Black deserves Mutilate and not Damnation, and White should keep Wrath of God/Day of Judgment-esque effects.

Come on WotC, let the control players have the fun!

I prefer Wrath of God/Day of Judgement, but Black having mass removal is...kind of okay, I guess? They have Killing Wave now, so I don't see how this is even a good card anymore minus the whole 4 cmc bit.

Considering that Damnation is an alternate Universe Version of the Original Wrath of God...Yeah White has them

Problem with Killing Wave is that it never does what you want it to do.

Your opponent gets the choice on whether they want to sacrifice monsters or take life. I'd happily take some life to save my Titan or something and get rid of everything else (and I still have my threat, and I'll still win). Damnation will do what you expect it to do every single time which is why it's more reliable.

Obviously Damnation came during the set where the colour pie shifted tons (although to be honest, it just turned every colour into Blue) so can't see Damnation ever returning.

They'll have Mutilate post-rotation at the least, and Barter in Blood, which isn't terrible.

It's quite possible they'll keep Black as being a controlling colour too.
