Just a tip, each episode is usually 2 chapters, but this is not a fixed rule. There are many subtle differences from the manga to the anime.

I don't really know why everybody hates fillers. Personally I love them. Makes most series more fun instead of being serious 24/7.

Also Fairy Tail's fillers are extremely awesome. Especially an entire 30-episode arc before the Grand Magic Games. Best filler ever of all animes.

- Wait, let me get this straight. The only opponent, right now, is Future Rogue. Everybody else is united at the cannon's site to fight the horde of incoming dragons. Natsu can't lose since he's being driven by his love to Lucy and to the future. Then Jellal has a favor to ask.

- Curious to the possibility of Jellal asking for the gate to be closed or something related. Seeing as Lucy isn't dumb enough to actually close the gate willingly, everyone assumes something made her do it. There's an interesting theory on Lucy possibly seeing Natsu meet Igneel after so long, and closes the gate just for the sake of Natsu's happiness.
Still that's a huge as f*** ninety percent of humanity Lucy gets killed so something emotionally powerful to the point of almighty prowess is the only thing that can justify the possibility of her doing it imo.
Also sort of upset because Future Rogue is actually noble about this but he's being denied with the cliche "We'll do things our way!" thing. I want Lucy to live as much as everyone else, but come on, can't we get some creative twists?

- Very upset with the fact that they refused to play Dragon Force despite having literally perfect sequences for it. Instead they went with the typical "bonds" music and other stuff, hearing Third Generation Dragon Slayer was nice for the moment but... yeah i'm just really mad.
That aside, this episode is ridiculously fillery. Takes away from too much for cute and dorky moments(which were amazing holy shit NaLu even before the hiatus). After the credits, things do get down to business with the Dragon Graveyard, Jellal and mystery woman(if you're following this thread and dont know who it is i might slap you), and Future Levy. I'm still wondering about Future Levy seeing as we got Future Rogue and the other woman in the manga so far.
It's a given that Levy's part of the final 10% of humanity, and from what she's saying, Natsu and Gajeel(who she loved, confirmed canon~!!) are both dead during that time... which leads me to believe the Dragon Slayers, their only messiahs, failed miserably. So what's going to save them in the present, with so many interferences from the future?
permission to punch hiro in the face for not even giving anything close to an estimate on fairy tail's return to tv?
Sigh. It'll probably return in late Fall or early Winter... Though, that means massive episode zerging and not a single damn filler!

- Very interesting to see another element mixture between dragon slayer magic. Future!Rogue may have noble goals but wow, what an asshole. Then again, seven years of despair does that to you I guess. How the hell does it lead him to kill his other best friend though(since Frosch is obviously his closest)? If the Dragon Slayers were the messiahs, killing Sting was easily the dumbest thing he could've done.
Also this is hilarious, Lucy and others went on and on about not closing the gate, then Lucy is starting to move in for its closure. Congratulations guys. It's probably due to celestial magic as Rodrigo stated above, meaning that the eclipse door and the dragon feast may connect to the Spirit World, and maybe the spirits aren't agreeing with the door? I'unno.

- Future Rogue, unless lying, stated that dragons still came, even when Eclipse closed. But Eclipse brought dragons there. This means that the dragons had a plan of attack from both ends, and how they knew of Eclipse 400 years ago and likely Zeref's or Aconolgia's fault. Meaning that either way, humanity was screwed at both sides.
Gotta hand it to dragons, these are some smart assholes.

E-Ekhm. So, 7 dragons appeared, and Rogue is controlling them. Obv, Rogue is being controlled by someone else though. Everyone was like ZOMG DRAGONS WE CAN'T but then... as I hoped for... Natsu didn't disappoint. Go Natsu, you can do it :3

- Can we not do this "Natsu's the messiah" thing? There are other Dragon Slayers for a reason, Christ. Sting is even moving forward against one of the dragons, and Sting is actually inexperienced in killing dragons since he did slaughter his own parent at a young age. Not to mention you have the ever monstrous Laxus, Gajeel's new Iron Shadow, Wendy's offensive Sky magic with Milky Way as well that could serve as plot device for summoning their parents. You also have Rogue, but I think he'll be hysterical when he sees his future self.
Future Rogue being evil confuses me because seven years ago, he discovered the power of friendship that Gajeel mercilessly beat into him. Especially with Frosch beside him. What exactly made him chance to kill Sting, and come back to the past to eradicate it with Dragon Manipulation?
I'm not concerned with the fight against the dragons as much as I am the real backstory behind this. And if Future!Rogue thinks an "era of dragons" can come out of seven dragons, this is going to be hilarious.
