After finding this guy I can just see so many things to do with it. With some spells that put even more +1/+1 counters you could start playing creatures for free giving him even more counters.

Animar Turbo EDH is the most fun I've ever had in Magic. Casting Eldrazi and Blightsteel for free, Jin-Gaxeus for 2, everything else for almost nothing... too good.

Also, as if Animar could ever survive 2 turns that early.
