This is an old RP of mine. When I first tried to introduce it, my lack of practice in hosting as well as my little experience with the English language caused it to crash and die miserably.
NOT THIS TIME, BEYOTCH.
No warning System. I will decide whether a player deserves action, or just warning.

NOT THIS TIME, BEYOTCH.
- Rules:
- Oh please just read the rules sticky'd up in the first post.
- IMPORTANT, please read.:
- There will be Duels in this RP. And to avoid pages and pages of Duel; repeated asspulls, conveniently Set cards, stuff like: "I need 'said card'. Oh look. Here it is! Lucky, ain't I?", I've decided to make Duels Live. This is where it gets a little compromising.
In order for "Live Duels" to take place, I need you to have an account in Dueling Network. Most of those who got past the title of the thread most likely have one of those already anyways, so no worries there.
In this game, we will play. I suggest that you actually take a day or two to familiarize with the system, if you really haven't ever seen it and/or have never even played the bloody card game.
- Introduction:
"Escape! Get away from here before it's too late!" Shooting Star Dragon cried at the top of his lungs, to no avail, in an attempt to reach the Polar Gods.
Not even the Three Polar Gods were able to escape what was about to befall on their fates. Silently, like a slithering viper, a shadow loomed and leapt from behind all three Polar Gods, engulfing them all at the same time. As soon as they saw themselves trapped inside of the shadow, they all three dropped on their knees. They looked at each other, in horror, as they saw their Divinity irradiate from their bodies; away into the seemingly infinite Darkness. As this happened, the inner sides of the Gods appeared.
Thor, the Thunder God grew wild and mindless; his powerful blows were no longer able to control, but rather resembled, the movements of the wild, Nordic Beasts.
Loki, the God of Mischief, tried to consume, to control this Darkness; embraced its power in hopes that it would allow him to be free, untouched. The Darkness refused his touch, however. His powers were drastically diminished, reducing his powers to the point where he could barely cast any Spells. The Alfar Spirits he had had gathered through the ages, quickly flew away from his every pore and dispersed.
Odin, barely able to stay conscious, raised his staff, and even Shooting Star Dragon heard the unmistakable chant. In order to save his mind and preserve his Soul, Odin sacrificed his physical body. He became a Fairy, an immaterial source of light. A ray of light descended from the heavens, and the Nordic Ascendants fulfilled their duty of claiming their lord from the Darkness.
They were no longer Gods, and the onslaught was far from over. Odin escaped to the above, Loki was dragged into the Darkness; Thor was bound to stay on Earth. This would later the Thunder God into the second Demon’s first victim. An almighty voice resounded, seemingly filling the air around Thor's massive figure.
“We cannot allow Divinity to exist in our perfectly balanced World. Future minds must be preserved!” With this, Thor was removed of what last kept him as a God: His title itself. The voice raged on; “From this day, you will be known as ‘Thor, Lord of Aesir’. This is not the last time you will hear of us.” The voice said no more.
This happened twice again. Loki was doomed to the same fate as his brother. Odin instead was given a title that erased all traces of him ever owning any god-like blood. Whenever his name was spoken, perplexed voiced would reply; "Odin who?" And the reply would not make them any less confused. "Odin, Father of the Aesir."
Upon hearing of the horrible news, Gogogo Golem went back, clumsily climbing the staircase up to the palace of the Legendary three. Three gods who were able to resist the influences of these Demons, and keep their divinity. Speaking up to the three Egyptian Gods, Gogogo bowed before them.
"Sirs, I have come back with dreadful news. Three of your kin, three Gods; have been drained of their divinity by the Demons. It seems they are working together, now."
"Hmph," muttered Obelisk on his throne, in hearing of these most disturbing words, "so Konami and 4Kids finally came together. Separate, only Konami managed to get its hand on us. But together… it was about time that this happened, wasn’t it; Ra?"
The gigantic, blue mastodon turned its mighty head in the yellow Winged Dragon’s direction, only to find him floating above his own throne as a Sphere. "Don’t bother, Obelisk." Pointed out Slifer the Sky Dragon, "he’s meditating. Remember he was the one amongst us that Konami scarred the most. His judgement was not, don’t you worry."
Indeed, soon enough Ra came back to his senses, and assumed his regular form. Standing up, the Dragon called: "I have come to a decision, comrades."
Extending his wings as wide as they allowed, and his voice thundered all over the palace: "Knights of the Numbers, I summon thee!" With the sound of his gigantic voice, several marks appeared on the ground, drawing numbers with lines and dots. Ra looked down, and fixed his sight in one of them. "Appear before me, Number Thiry-nine! Aspiring Emperor Hope!"
A galaxy-like gate opened up on the ground, and the golden warrior emerged. He instantly kneeled down before Ra, in front of Gogogo. He then looked up to the god, without a word. "I shall task you with a large-scale mission, Hope. You and your Number Knights must track down the place where these shadows are leaking into our world. But our population mustn't know. Work discretely."
Hope nodded, and sunk back into the galaxy portal that appeared once more.
Before all of the Numbers disappeared from the ground, Gogogo noticed that another Number, 96, was glowing in an evil fashion.
The winged dragon seemed tired, and sat down on his throne. The small schockwave generated caused Gogogo to stumble. Slifer then levitated into the air, and his second mouth opened. No sound came out, yet there was a clear voice, sounding inside of Gogogo's head. Every living being could probably hear the deity. He looked up at the solemn dragon, and listened.
"As most of us know, our world is not the only one in existence. There is a parallel one, in which we are but pieces of cardboard. But these Devils, both Konami and 4Kids, have come from there. Some of us will have to cross over, to stop them. Those who choose venture into that world must assume a material form, a ‘shell’, of sorts, as to imitate their appearance. Who will it be then, who takes the mission to save our world from the fate which has befallen our dear brothers, if they can do that to Gods then what could they do to the rest of you? Who will answer the call?!"
- Protagonist App:
- Card Chosen: This card must be one not nerfed by Konami. Not buffed either, obviously.
Real World Alias: Monsters cannot go around the Human world and say, "Hey, I'm Gogogo Golem!"
Personality: Try your best and make a personality fitting the monster. Fitting the chosen monster's effect would be cool, too.
Human Appearance: Describe your character physically, and try include something linking your description to the actual monster's image. You may use a picture, but it's unlikely you would.
Deck: Build and post a Deck which revolves around/includes the monster. Note that you'll actually Duel, so better make a it functional one. And please don't randomly try to give me Chaos Dragons with a Mystic Piper so that your Deck contains it. That would only make you look stupid. (Now we talk about that, Meta Decks are out of the question.) The September 2012 banlist will apply, and your Deck size must be within the legal standards.
RP Sample: Invent your character's backstory. Its complexity will grant or subtract points from your final score. This will also tell me how good you are at describing. This may include, but is not limited to, the moment in which they become human, or something of that effect.
Give me your DN Account:
- Antagonist App:
- Card Chosen: This one must have been buffed by either Konami or 4kids (Well, I'm calling it 4kids for naming issues. I basically mean TCG name).
Real World Alias:
Personality:
Human Appearance:
Deck:
RP Sample: This is where Apps take a detour. Here your Sample will consist on narrating how did Konami upgrade your monster, before releasing it in the Material World. Basically the opposite of what happened to the Polar Gods. You should also somehow describe your reason for betrayal.
