To be fair, Bant Superfriends could definitely justify playing an Ajani to compliment the rest of its draw engine. It's also able to make use of all 3 abilities.

The ultimate does win the game in standard so idk why anyone would complain about it. Remember that you got a Planeswalker to survive for ideally 5 turns and you just gained 100 life. There's no way to lose from there.

All that said, 5 mana is a lot.

There's a strong chance Ajani is going to die off this block by the way, according to hints in the JOU trailer. I haven't watched it myself because of missing the start of the panel, but the mentor usually dies in the hero's journey.

Edit: Watched it. It's ELSPETH's death that they're foreshadowing.
