Black Magic M-66 is an OVA of the manga created by Masamune Shirow (Creator of Ghost in the Shell). It was released in 1987 and was directed by Masamune Shirow and Hiroyuki Kitakubo, the only time where Masamune has actually directed an adaptation of his work.
The plot of the OVA is slightly different than that of the original manga.
I came upon this anime after deciding that I would look into Shirow's early work. After seeing this I posted a review about it and I would like to spread the word about this OVA as I feel it deserves more eyes.
