    “The Child of the Stars” is a keyword for this type of summoning!

    It requires 2 monsters!

    And monsters with brand new types of effects will appear!?

    The white monster next to Yuya is captioned with “The Magician who Reads Stars” and the black one is “The Magician who Reads Time”.

    Following on the footsteps of “5D’s Riding Duel” “Zexal’s AR Duel”, is the brand new “Action Duel” of “Arc-V”!

    Action Duel is something that is done by generating these “touchable solid visions”! These solid visions surround the entire field and the Duel takes place in the entire area.

    So... Arc-V has a sort of Pendulum Summon/Action Duel Spr_4d_483 and Pendulum Summon/Action Duel Spr_4d_484 concept going on. K.

    Major Rule Changes Coming:

    The player going first cannot draw on the first turn!

    Both players can both have a Field Spell Card on the field, simultaneously!


    The text for Official Card Game cards will be made easier to read!

    These new rules take effect for the Official Card Game starting March 21st, 2013, when the Starter Deck comes out!

    (This is not a clear explaination of how the mechanic works, please wait for further details to explain it.)
    1. There are now 2 Pendulum Zones on the Left and Right of the Field.
    2. There are new Pendulum Monsters with “Scales” to the left and right of the card (the red and blue things)
    You can place them in the Pendulum Zones, if you do they becomes Spells instead of monsters.
    Different Pendulum monsters have different scale numbers
    3. Once you have 1 Pendulum monster in each Pendulum Zone, you can perform a Pendulum Summon
    You take the numbers between the two scale numbers, in this case 1 and 8, so 2-7
    4. With this Pendulum Summon, you can now special summon any number of monsters from your hand whose Levels are 2 to 7.
    And you can only do this one time, so you can’t summon something now, draw some, and then Pendulum Summon again.

    When Pendulum Monsters are destroyed on the field and sent to the Graveyard, you can place them face-up in your Extra Deck
    When you perform a Pendulum Summon you can summon them from your Extra Deck.
    You can only Pendulum Summon once per turn.

    I still feel that both players have Field Spells is stupid since it just killed Closed Forest. And now you're going to have to MST a card like Necrovalley. Frick.

    All Beast-Type monsters you control gain 100 ATK for each monster in your Graveyard. Field Spell Cards cannot be activated while this card is face-up on the field. Field Spell Cards cannot be activated the turn this card is destroyed.

    No Cherry, the point is that they can play their field spell BEFORE you play Closed Forest.

    Yeah, and you can play Closed forest before they do that. I'm not seeing how Closed Forest is killed by the logic of who draws Terraforming first.
    I mean, that's one of the reasons why the first player isn't drawing, so they don't have that chance.

    The thing is, decks that used Closed Forest also rarely run S/T removal since it's just not good in those decks. It makes Closed Forest obsolete since if it has to be pre-emptive it almost always may as well be MST instead.

    Duelist Advent for TCG confirmed release for August. Also, for anyone curious about the "3DS" bit in one of the above pictures... it's supposed to be some sort of downloadable thing that teaches you how to Pendulum Summon.
