World War Cray Empty World War Cray

Post by Suzugamori Aoba Sat Mar 02, 2013 5:12 pm

Author's Note: Ok hi guys so basically I have these ridiculous shonen ideas for fics and stuff and this one is about all the things I like: Card games, time travel, etc. This bit you're about to read is just the Lore of the Story, but not the story itself. I wanted to give you a basic understanding of what exactly happened so I don't have to do any extra explaining later on, so it's pretty much to benefit future chapters. Ok let's get this show on the road. Also, I obviously don't own bushiroad shit, but all of the things I'm about to write and their ideas are mostly from me, but keep in mind I don't own any of these names or any of that.

EDIT: I embedded several of the opening sentences of paragraphs with a song appropriate as to whats going on if you're into that, they all link to youtube and are all anime songs/openings for the most part so yeah, enjoy that bit too.

Long Ago, there existed 2 planes of existence. On the surface world, there lies the bountiful United Sanctuary, which held the proud clan, Royal Paladins. The Royal Paladins were the soldiers of the land, as well as the nobles and the ones who kept peace on the planet cray. With their king, Alfred, the Royal Paladins become leaders of the planet of cray, and became revered by many, as well as hated by many… Residing with the Royal Paladins was their more intelligent counterpart, the Oracles. The Oracles were more interested in magic, focusing on arcane arts, clairvoyance, and the more artistic side of the world. Although the Oracles praised the Moon and Sun gods, Tsukiyomi and Amaterasu respectively, their religion did not hinder the belief of the Soul Savior Dragon that the Royal Paladins believed in. Together, they brought order to the land, keeping in check the rogues that were the Shadow Paladins, outcasts of the Royal Paladin and Oracle clans, the Shadow Paladins lived on the outskirts of the kingdom, owning a small kingdom of their own. They believed in a more warped version of the Soul Savior Dragon, the Phantom Blaster Dragon. They revered this dragon and made many rituals and sacrifices in its name. The Shadow Paladins are surprisingly zealous when it comes to their cause. The Shadow Paladins were ruled by a man known only as The Dark Dictator. The son of the Dictator, prince of the Shadow Paladin’s throne, Blaster Dark, was madly in love with a woman known as Nemain. Nemain was a witch who was equally as beautiful as she was twisted and warped. When she was in the Oracle clan, she murdered dozens as a sacrifice to the Phantom Blaster Dragon. She used her sorcery to do it, and started to realize that sometimes the corpses would walk once more. Nemain began to conduct studies in necromancy and immortality. One of Nemain’s closest friends, Macroon from the Battle platoon, ratted her out. After a case was made against her, Nemain was tried and found guilty. Early in the year, however, Nemain became a recluse, and started self-experimenting, none of which seemed to work. She even stopped seeing her secret lover, Blaster Dark. After being found guilty, she was set up for an execution. As she took her last breath, she muttered a spell she was near perfecting, and she fell dead before the axe hit her head. She awoke in utter and complete darkness; nothing was capable of being seen, heard, or felt. As she embellished in the darkness and insanity that followed, she began perfecting immortality, and with her summoning, she tried warping the darkness and breathing life into it. After many tries, the darkness started to take form, however the things did not turn out to resemble humans. Instead, they turned out to be brainless soldiers that are only focused on pleasing Nemain. It was here that Nemain created the early beginnings of the Dark Irregulars.

In the western kingdom, the Aquatic Marines protected the seas. The Aquatic Marines were very noble people, and served for Alfred, and the Royal Paladins. There were of course, some in the Aquatic Marines, who did not believe in following the orders of a single King, and so they planned a conspiracy to overthrow the king. The Aquatic Marines caught on quickly, and brought an end to the conspiracy, along with that, they also brought forth the perpetrators to Alfred himself, who agreed to have them all executed by death of the naval gazer dragon, the ultimate death weapon that was in possession of planet cray.

As their souls fell, they realized that there was more to mortality; all around them were sounds of terror, and for a long time, darkness. Finally, they were met by many of the Dark Irregulars that Nemain had created. As the 5 conspirators were executed, it was the Dark Zone they were greeted by. Nemain is made aware of their presence, and sees this as an opportunity to practice her immortality on others. After much persuasion by Nemain, Queen of the Dark Zone, the 5 conspirators decide to be in cahoots with her to try and overthrow Alfred, and the Kingdom, once again. The conspirators were warped and twisted using Nemain’s powers of immortality. Their flesh began to physically rot and looked more like a zombie. Despite this, they retained their regular conscious state. Nemain was happy about this, and her ultimate goal was closer to completion. These 5 zombie like carnations that Nemain had reformed were later known to be the Granblue 5, for their blue complexion in their gums that they each took on.

The Granblue 5 started working their own powers, using some of Nemain’s foot soldier Dark Irregulars as fodder. They eventually created a giant portal that led them back to the surface world. With Nemain’s permission, the Granblue 5 went back to the surface world, under the condition they rendevouz with her lover – Blaster Dark – and deliver a letter. The 5 knew that they would be easily stupidly outnumbered if they tried to do anything outrageous now, so cloaked and in hiding, they traveled to the outskirts of the kingdom, where the Shadow Paladins reside. Finding Blaster Dark, they delivered the message. Blaster Dark understood as he read it, and got 5 of the best generals in the Shadow Paladin’s refuge to go with the Granblue 5 to the mountain. The people that Blaster Dark sent with the 5 were ex shaman and sorcerers who began to believe more in mind control and phantom blaster dragon rather than the more nomadic and free beliefs that the Oracles held. It was because of this they were excommunicated. These shaman and sorcerers were instructed by Blaster Dark to go to the mountain and recruit the wild creatures they found for their army as fodder. The Granblue were ordered to protect them in getting there, but then go to the edges of the Aqua force waters to turn more Aquatic Marines to Granblue soldiers. As the shaman got to the mountains, they used their dark magic to take control of the mind of creatures. First it was Lizards and birds, but then they realized that they could get much bigger creatures. They tested their luck with alligators, bears, and eventually, dragons. They used all of their powers, but eventually, were able to tame one, and use for their own need. After amassing many dragons to their side, they realized they had their own alliance going. The head shaman, Goku, decided to stay, and encouraged the others to do so. It was then, the Dragon Empire was born, their own motives unknown.

Meanwhile on the Sea, the Granblue used their superior knowledge of the Aquatic Marines’ formations and territories to create easy counter attacks against them. The Granblue 5 even managed to salvage a ship. Using this knowledge, they ambushed several ships, sneaking onto them at night and murdering marines in their sleep. After several months, the Granblue were eventually known as pirates of malice bent on the destruction of the sea. The Granblue, on the contrary, ruled the sea, and became the Aqua Force’s rivals. Rumor soon spread of malicious pirates of the sea hellbent on the destruction of the Kingdom that the Royal Paladins and the Oracles spent so much time building. Along with that, rumor of a new rising empire in the East Mountains were beginning to be built. Fearing new alliances being made, Alfred decided to indoctrinate an heir to the throne. Not having much time to create a proper process, and a storm of battle and carnage coming up fast, Alfred said whoever he fights alongside battle with will be his successor to the throne.

Granblue in this time have perfected the ability to travel back and forth from the Dark Zone and the surface planet of Cray. In the time preceding the first Great War, the immortal sea pirates sent letters between Nemain and the Shadow Paladins. Nemain served as a sort of general in the War, giving orders to everyone, from the Dark Magicians all the way to the Dictator himself. The plan was that the Shadow Paladins would storm first, the Dark Irregulars following to ambush the preoccupied Royal Paladins, while the Dragon Empire and the Granblue picked off the Oracles and then followed in pursuit of destroying the rest of the Kingdom. Despite these plans, everyone was on board until the actual day happened.

One early morning, Nemain’s plan sprang into action. On her orders, the Shadow Paladins began to storm the northern kingdom, where Alfred’s throne sat. The Shadow Paladins were easily met with a slew of Silent Knights and the clan’s best beast tamers. At the front of their army lay a single brave man in illustrious, white armor. His blue hair flowed in the direction of the wind and moved as elegantly and as swiftly as if it were in water. At the head of the Shadow Paladin’s attack pattern stood a man of equal stature and armor, except his armor was a sleek black, and his hair was blood red. Much speculation was that the two were brothers, but it has never been confirmed or denied, such as many legends go. As the battle around them crumbled the once beautiful scenery of the Northern Kingdom of the United Sanctuary, the two were locked in deadly mortal combat. They fought tooth and nail, at once point, every clash of their blade has been said to be able to reduce an enemy to ashes without effort.

The original plan was that as the Northern Kingdom was under siege, the Dark Irregulars would appear to help. But as per Nemain’s scheme, help never came. The Shadow Palaadins were slowly overthrown, and it was only in the final moments of both clan’s there, the Dark Irregulars appeared to kill whomever still stood. Nemain’s warped army made it to the inner sanctum, where Alfred stood waiting. Around him were man allies, which must have given Alfred strength, for he was able to take on several of the demonic creatures on his own without struggle. As his friends slowly were picked off by the stronger Dark Irregulars, however, Alfred’s spirit slowly subsided. A black fog rose from the ground and possessed Alfred, which created who was to be known as Ildona, a dark being who has a part of Nemain’s sould imbued in him.

With the Northern Kingdom taken care of, Nemain’s plan continued. As the Granblue were told, they were to fight off who they could while they were to receive help by the Shadow Paladins who were training creatures in the east mountain for several decades. Nemain was also on board with this, and it was to everyone’s surprise what actually happened. Dozens of fleets of Granblue and Aquatic Marine ships fought each other in what seemed like an eternity. The Granblue were incredibly resilient, having once died already, and highly vengeful. The Aquatic Marines did what they could, and fought off many. What nobody counted on, was a troop of dozens of dragons in the sky, as they swooped down to ignite several ships one by one, they were not a match for them at all. It turns out that the Shaman in the Mountain who was from the Shadow Paladin clan became one with the creatures, especially of the Lizards and Dragons, and created the Dragon Empire. An extremely militant and small empire, they did not need numbers, for they had dragons. They also were able to train several creatures the ways of ninjutsu and were able to create an assassination force, known as the Murakumo squad. The Shaman who led the Dragon Empire was known as Emperor Kagero, an assassin and mind manipulating mastermind. The Dragon Empire revered him, and his signature dragon, the Dragonic Overlord, was a symbol to the Empire.

The Granblue panicked, and retreated back to the Dark Zone, everyone, including Nemain, absolutely flabbergasted by what happened. The Aquatic Marines caught wind of what happened to the Northern Kingdom, and was not about to back down. Out of pride and glory for Alfred, they retaliated, using their ultimate weapon: the Naval Gazer Dragon. The Naval Gazer Dragon was capable of annihilating dozens of dragons in a single sweep; all but the Dragonic Overlord fell. Outraged, the Dragonic Overlord slipped the mind control Emperor Kagero had placed on him, and went berserk. He turned around, igniting what Dragon Empire clansman stood, and sinking most Aquatic Marine’s ships. Eventually, the entire western region of Cray was on fire, and the rest of the battle took place in the air. This became a battle of dragons, as Naval Gazer Dragon and Dragonic Overlord conducted their own mortal combat. Nemain, trying to diffuse the situation and not have the very planet she wishes to rule for she destroyed, sends the Dark Irregulars to stop their brawl. It is to no avail, as an entire troop of Dark Irregulars are destroyed. With only the Dark Dictator, Ildona, and Nemain standing in the way of Naval Gazer Dragon and Dragonic Overlord, they panic and allow the world to fall to ashes.

In the final hours of Planet Cray’s existence, the 3 once great powers have been reduced to former versions of themselves, the Kingdoms and Empires in shambles, and all seems to be awful, a blinding ray of light illuminates the entire planet. The clouds part and several entities slowly make a descent into the center of the planet. It is unknown what he looks like exactly, but with a snap of his fingers, the dragons stopped dueling, the fires stopped, and the cataclysm calmed. The two dragons were almost in a trance, as they both emitted a huge wave a light, and after the flash was done, two cards were in their place. On one card read NAVAL GAZER DRAGON/Grade 3/11000 Power/0 Defense/Aqua Force, along with more text. On the other, in the same format, read DRAGONIC OVERLORD/Grade 3/11000 Power/0 Defense/Kagero. The humanoid being pocketed the two cards, and teleported to where Ildona, The Dark Dictator, and Nemain hid. Ildona charged the being first. The alien retaliated by snapping his fingers, and in that instant, Ildona levitated, and reverted back to Alfred. The Being that possessed Alfred became its own creature, a massive, hulking demon that also charged for the alien. The Alien also turned him into a card as well, and soon after, everyone was a card. The Alien took the 6 cards and levitated them, with that the world shone for a moment, and everything went dark…

Well done with finishing the lore's entirety and I am so glad you went with this title. I already knew quite a bit but I want to say here that you've a very interesting take on a AU of the Cray Lore. Especially since the ending just seems like without the alien appearing in the first place, it was probably hinging on the end of the world one way or another.

Good job. Now we await the card game story to follow.

It left me dazed and confused. Which is what you were attempting. Left me wanting more and you added awesome fitting music for every ''scene''. That also helps the person to continue reading and get a better image of what's going on. I will excitingly await for the first chapter. I hope you will input songs in the fiction as well, because that would take it to a whole new level. I also love your taste in music and want more. Spectacular work.
