With the rare cycle of uncounterable cards, counterspells in Innistrad/RtR format? Considering a fair amount of them are insanely playable and are key parts of decks, do counterspells just become worse?

In related news, here's a counterspell that's PART of the uncounterable rare cycle:

    The counterspell is OK

    I guess

And for the sake of making counterspells good but not to out of hand with Snapcaster, it is well costed...

IMO a good counterspell ATM would be something like

    1U - Instant
Counter target Spell of CMC 2 or less

It is powerful enought to counter stuff at any time...it is not play limiting as Mana Leak was. It is cheap, and can be abused with Snapcaster Mage agaisnt bigger stuff late game.

    EDIT: Card was revealed

    Yay for breaking Izzet stereotypes!

I am seriously gonna love Simic because that turquoise colour is popping up everywhere in Ravnica, and probably even more in Simic.

So...basically, if you have a stack, it goes down the stack for the Overload cost.

Not what comes to mind in Standard, but in other formats...I wouldn't say this would be horribly costed at 4.
