Uuuuh, sounds like nice card advantage, but not sure if good in practice =/

The mere fact it's 11K is good.

The additional +5K makes it swing for 16 without a booster, and without the need of a pre-emptive Counter Blast wasted for nothing. Dorothea behind it makes for 26 (herp derp the usual), or just Theo makes it hit 24.

So it, even in practice, would be good.

So is this the replacement for Navalgazer/Hydro Hurricane? Or is it just going to be teched alongside Navalgazer and the Storm column? I'm thinking the latter.

And is this the only card that's come up? I'd like to see some Neo Nectar/Tachi support appear sometime soon. Hopefully before I leave for college and get caught up in studying. =_=

It seems necessary because without this, all AquaFo has in terms of getting advantage is running four draw and spending the extra attacks on opposing rearguards. Which isn't terrible, but Nova could do that and more. So Maelstrom right now fills the same niche that Nemain, Street Bouncer and Lox/Leo-pald do for their respective clans. He'll probably see use integrated with Navalgazer and Hydro Hurricane rather than as a replacement for them. (Navalgazer's difficult to acquire many copies of after all, seeing as by current accounts he's a TD exclusive.)

My dragon boner rises for this unit. It's telling me to destroy everything with this.

When I first saw it, I didn't like it. Now that I look at it again, it finally gives them something to remotely differentiate themselves from NGs, and actually has a reason to run it over Asura Grapplers.
