This looks fun in EDH. Paying GU for any creature and RU for any instand or scorccery a second time sounds like there will be plenty of fun things to do.

The funny thing about playing him as a commander is that, despite that he's blue, you shouldn't run any counterspells outside of super-staples.
His main use is, yep, randomly copying cascades and stuff like Rite of Replication for trillions of tokens.

That is true for 90% of Blue Commander Decks thought...
Counterspells in General aren't very good in Commander..expect a few Exceptions
