You've missed the point of the card then. It's smoothly riding into a Grade 3, all while getting rid of the nasty feel of Drive Checking a Grade 3 since you pitched one already. Thins out one more card, and lets you just Superior Ride another one for +5K.

Of which lets you swing for game, or it'll switch into Alfred or Soul Saver Dragon, effectively making Pendragon a Grade 3 Ride Tool Box, and effectively letting you not have to use a card in your hand to ride the unit you were probably going to ride anyway.

The deck I recently posted makes that extremely obvious.
