[BNG] Daily Previews 24/01 - Full Spoiler!

Completely underwhelming and slightly boring except to draft or mini masters in. I could have some fun was Brimaz, but I am not impressed at all.

I'm so glad I'm not a Standard player.

This set was pretty much crafted for me. Amazing limited experience, very beautiful and flavorful cards (especially the enchantment creatures), great cards for Commander.

For a Johnny collector like me, this set is perfect.

I wouldn't mind too much if every other FNM wasn't standard. Especially since the only places that do modern are almost or more than an hour away from me. It's just standard is already getting kinda stale and this will barely change that.

On the other hand, Chris gets a strictly more awesome Divination art.

It's hard to expect second sets to make big impacts on Standard. Still, it's decent for other formats. Even Legacy Death and Taxes got Spirit of the Labyrinth.

I still prefer my foil DKA Divinations.

But you can get foil BNG Divinations and have two sets of beautiful art.

I said before that this set just screams "EDH budget options," and for the most part it fulfills that role quite nicely.

In terms of the other formats...well, a lot of the uncommons that were spoiled piece by piece are actually insanely good and deserve a lot more credit than most of the rares and even the mythics in this set. Eternal format playability is not something I was expecting to appear in this set. But yeah, nothing too exciting for standard whatsoever, and even more so for modern.

The flavor for limited may be good, but it's still not something to jump on like Theros was, or RTR/Gatecrash/Innistrad/Avacyn.

Oh please, it's not even close to the elegance of the DKA artwork.

I want 4 Chromanticores. Don't ask me why, It's embarrassing.

Also, as a Modern and Casual player, this set is kinda boring. But it has some nice things at uncommon rarity like the Scry Infest, Searing Blood or Bile Blight.
