Just rewatched JoJo's Bizarre Adventure for about the fourth time... Getting so much hype for Stardust Crusaders coming in Spring. Finally got myself to start reading after Part 6 though.

Funny that you should mention Trigun, I just started watching it after dropping a long time ago for no reason. I might have been too busy with other things xD

IT was mostly just say your name and list your favorite anime and manga anyway.

Well, my preferences change all the time, but for right now my favorite anime is Ghost in the Shell in all its incarnations and my favorite manga series is tied between Berserk, One Piece and Liar Game

I also just finished Medaka Box, but I'm hesitant to say it's my favorite yet

Especially given how it's going to one hell of a deus ex machina training arc to bridge the gap between Guts and the Godhand

Also, I would totally live in Falconia if given half the chance. I don't even care that Griffith is irredeemably evil, dat architecture.

I still feel that Guts could take on a Godhand with the Berserker Suit on... Maybe not Femto because Plot Armour, but still.

Aren't they going to continue making movies/anime for the rest of the series? Wasn't that Golden Age Arc movie series really successful?

I'd rather they didn't. I feel like the CG movies didn't really give the mangu justice, even if it was just for advertisement~

Well I actually got on the series by first watching the films and then realizing there was a whole manga series about it xD

I don't know if that's reason for why I want more movies, but that's how it is for me

Anything to increase the readership at this point so Muira has the drive to write something as depressing as Berserk. I remember reading somewhere that it was actually affecting his mental health and he was taking so many breaks watching happy anime for that very reason.

So, as someone who as only heard snippets about this show, what's it about?

It's about a guy who goes BERSERK!!!!!!1!!!!111!!!!!

jk the plots kinda hard to explain. The first part is basically the introduction to Guts and the current world. Then it's his backstory and how the world went to sh*t. The rest I don't know as I haven't read or seen anything.

Berserk is a grimdark, fantasy manga about the Black Swordsman called Guts and he goes around killing demons with a qt 3.14 elf called Puck. 

That's it. That's the series.

No but really, it get's a lot more fucked up.

I've heard things, and read some stand alone situations on TV Tropes. I hear it gets really dark

The art is some of the best I've seen though.

Mine seems to be Urban Fantasy in the same vein as Shakugan No Shana, Kekkaishi, Index, and C Control.

Mine is Fantasy, and Seinen.

Favourite mangoo is Vinland Saga, Vagabond, Oyasumi no Punpun and Berserk.

Has Berserk gotten a good English release?  I could read online, but I really do love the feel of  holding the book in real life.

Yeah, best part is, it's caught up with the Japanese part... Only because we haven't had a new chapter for 11 months now. f****** Miura and his Idolm@aster...
