Well the deck is more or less heavily reliant on opening with Ripple. Once you get him, you're not grade locked. After that is a simple matter of just hitting Grade 3 and twin driving into units for Laurel. It causes stupid pressure and then nigh unstoppable pressure. I wanna play it for myself, but I think it can honestly win things without being an "accident".

...I mean, if you're going to give Morikawa a card that causes his style to be highly rewarding, then you're going to want to try to abuse it at all costs.

It's a risky deck that ended up with high reward, because the kid needed just about nothing if he opened with Ripple. The deck then just plays out, even if he's playing less total shield than the average player.

So many Grade 3s...clearly this is the STRONGEST deck.

Minor nitpick, but why run 3 different Draw Triggers for a total of six when he can run 4 Daicrane and 2 other Draws?

Deceptiveness with triggers. If you have incentive to confuse the opponent on how many you're actually running, it's usually good to do so.

The other thing about the deck is that if you don't get Ripple and you don't have your G1 and G2 in the first place, you just sit there and wait for it. There's no point in riding at all if you don't have your G2 already. Similar to Tsukuyomi, this specific play method is a technical violation of the intended "rules" that are supposed to restrict deckbuilding, though after some testing it's not as consistent and game-warping as Tsuku is because she does stuff at the early, mid and endgame and ultra-ultra-BT05-crossride-level yose and can eat the gradelock much better by plussing herself into the ultimate Wobbuffet. This deck just explodes at T4.

If you DO get the opening ride, then the opponent has to take you to six damage fast by exploiting your lower shield from the G3 count or conversely, dance around your limit break as much as possible because this thing loops right around pressure and goes back into just being a ten-in-thirty win button--pressure is making the opponent overguard with a dangerous on-hit skill or critical with power, but this deck basically ignores their defense. The best approach that I see against it when it's not gradelocked is to stall like hell because seriously, three crits with lots of numbers that bypasses perfect defense is the kind of stuff little kids dream up on their overpowered original character cards.

...Which, come to think of it, is probably how Mr. Kazucool there thought it up in the first place. It's the ultimate kid deck. I love every bit of it.
