Griselbrand

Best card in legacy and modern.

I know that's a blanket statement, but I'm honestly serious. Griselbrand is currently the backbone to one of the very, very few modern decks that can win on turn 3 in Grixis Vengeance/Through the Breach. And is a powerhouse in legacy, being the win con for Reanimator and the engine for Tin Fins, or whatever name people are using for it now.

Such a fantastic card, just wish he had a home in standard. My 2 copies of the card have gained 50% value since I bought them a few months ago too, so people are definitely seeing the potency in non-rotating formats.

I'm actually running what is pretty close to your version of MBC right now in Standard with Grizzy as the big anchor.

I can't say I've ever lost a game where he stayed on the board for 1+ turns.

I think that's the case for anyone who's ever played Griselbrand. It's hard to lose with a 7/7 flying lifelinker that re-fills your hand on demand.

Really a great card.

Having done this multiple times in modern, I can testify the awesome feeling.

Since I've only done it in Legacy, what cards can you use in mordern for a turn 2 Grisley?

Only real times I've done it were turn 1 Faithless Looting, turn 2 Goryo's Vengeance and turn 2 Faithless Looting, Simian Spirit Guide for the Goryo's Vengeance.

Can be done on turn 3 with Vengeance, or with Pentad Prism into Through the Breach.

Goryo's Vengeance.
Discard it turn 1, bring it in turn 2.
Or with Simian, discard it to get an extra + mana.
