Battalion is so flavorful for Boros that it hurts. Also, looks like a nice 4 drop together with Hellriders in Aggro Boros.

Whether this sees play or not will be fun to see. At the moment, it's firmly in competition with Sublime Archangel (and more worryingly, Hellrider).
Super-flavourful mechanic though.
Edit: I guess it might see sideboard play since it deals with Thragtusk very well.
Edit: Also, this is a reason to play Kaalia colours in Standard. Lingering Souls is awesome with this.

Assuming Battalion always activates when 3 creatures attack, imagine this with 2 or more others with the mech. Jeez... That mech is going to get pretty broke in a bit lol

It's actually a pretty bad mechanic. What happens if you attack with three and one of them gets killed? Naturally, you've lost a creature, and a Battalion trigger.
Really depends how much they push the mechanic. I think a Lightning Helix is the best we're going to see with Battalion. They didn't really explore the RtR mechanics in detail.
If we get a really good Boros Battalion 1-drop, then maybe.
