Effects are hot, but the background and foreground are too blended together.
The lighting in the second is too gradient like.

They are really nice, one thing I actually noticed is that, I believe because you lowered the size of the fractal their is a small thin block on the left side of the image going up believe that is were the fractal is no longer on the image.

Meh. Radial gradients are boring sometimes. I love diamond shape ones.
