    Retroactive Infestation Duplication
    Normal Spell
Select and activate one of the following effects:
~Target 1 "Steelswarm" monster you control: This turn, that monster is treated as 2 Tributes for the Tribute Summon of a DARK monster
~Target a Level 4 or lower "Steelswarm" monster in your hand or Graveyard: Special Summon that target.

    Steelswarm Cockelbroach
    DARK
    3/0/1900
This card cannot leave the field due to another card's effect. When this card is Summoned or flipped face-up: destroy it during your next End Phase unless you Summon a "Steelswarm" or "Evilswarm" monster, besides "Steelswarm Cockelbroach".

    Selective Evolution Infestation
    Normal Spell
Target 1 "Steelswarm" monster you control: Add a "Steelswarm" monster from your Deck to your hand whose Level is either the target's Level +1 or +2. You cannot Special Summon this turn. While this card is in your Graveyard: Each turn you can Normal Summon a "Steelswarm" monster in addition to your Normal Summon or Set.

    Lingering Intelligent Infestation
    Quick-Play Spell
Banish a "Steelswarm" or "Evilswarm" monster from your Graveyard; Special Summon "Steelswarm Tokens" (DARK/Fiend-type/ATK 0/DEF 0) in Defense Position, equal to or lower than half the level of the banished monster. "Steelswarm Tokens" cannot be used for a Synchro Summon, and can only be Tributed for the Tribute Summon of "Steelswarm" or "Evilswarm" monsters.

If it wasn't evident already, Cockelroach survives Sophia's (I'm going to assume) world-nuke, and goes on to respawn new Steelswarm with a Cell it had embedded in its carapace (or whatever you call it). This is reflected by having the support be Steelswarm only.

Cockelbroach protects itself from its own effect.

Also, why does no card Summon a "Steelswarm Token" of some sort? Pretty sure it would count for the tribute, and it'd get around their problem of "if we let them swarm well enough to competitively tribute Summon, they're swarming too well for other purposes!"

Not to mention it goes rather well with the theme. Added a token card and fixed Cockelbroach.

I think the token card could do with being a bit more useful. Either summoning two tokens or also giving you a draw, prehaps?

Retroactive seems a little redundant, well, the first effect anyway.
I mean its sorta' the same concept with Genome.
Despite the fact it can count as 2 Tributes, only really one of them can be used with it.
Though, I do like how it can be used for any DARK monster.

Tbh, I kinda forgot that a lot of the higher Level Steelswarms used only 1 Tribute. I think I know how best to go about fixing that: Make more Steelswarms that are 2 tributes and worth it.

Only problem is I can't think of any effects.
