As for decks: you can use someone's preconstructed deck if you want
but for your own:
same as yugioh keep it around 40-45 cards
Staples in every deck:
Burst Wall x3 and/or Silent Wall x3
as from that its all fair game just pick a color/1-2 key spirits and have fun experimenting. if you want a game play I am on tradecardsonline and you can use one my decks SN: Shunleno as most of them or the white, red, and green are not that hard to use just have to have the deck in an extend view in another window so you can read what the cards do [as most are in Japanese]
and here is little bit about some of the colors and some skills from my observations
- colors + skills:
Red: Mostly Dragon related spirits. Have alot of spells that destroy enemy spirits + good amount of draw power. Also more aggressive then most decks
Unique skills of red: Evolution: allows spirit with it to move cores from themselve to other spirits.
Rage: Forces opponent to block the creature
White: More defense, Spirits are a mix of Machines, Flying fish, and a few Beasts. THeir spells have alot of protection and some life recovering spells.
Unique skills of White:
Immunity: Unit with it is not affected by skills of opposing nexus, spirit effects, and spells of the color spirit is immune to.
Icewall: During opponent's turn, Spirit can exhaust itself to negate a spell of the color is icewall is for.
Green: Insects, beasts, birds, plants, etc. Have alot of cards that add more cores to your reserve.
Unique skills of green:
Windstorm: When SPirit with Windstorm gets blocked. Opponent exhausts number of spirits they control equal to the number the windstorm is.
High Speed: Allows you to use cores in your reserve to play spirit with high speed during Flash step .
Yellow: Imaginery beast, Pentans, fairies magicians etc. More of a Support Color.
Unique skills of Yellow:
Brillance: When spirit with this skill attacks, each time you play a spell card, at End of Battle Step, move the used spell from trash to your hand.
Holy life: WHen spirit with this skill hits opponent and takes life core, you add one core from void to your life/
Purple: Zombies, Infernal Lords, wizard orge, and other dark creatures. Have alot of cards that draw, do alot of shipping cores off opposing spirits back to their reserve.
Unique skills of Purple:
Curse: When spirit is blocked destroy spirit that blocked this spirit
Some Purple spirits have the ability for you to draw when they attack or are summoned.
and Some Purple spirits have an ability that moves a core from a spirit to the reserve when either summoned or attacks.
Blue: SOliders, golems, and the like. Mostly focus on either Crush ability[mill] or Assault[exhausting nexus to unexhaust and swing again]
Unique skills of Blue:
Crush: When the spirit attacks opponent mills top cards of his deck equal to level or however many cards the card states to mill.
Assault: When Spirit with it attacks, at end of battle step exhaust a nexus you control to unexhaust the spirit to either block later or attack again.
