So I havnt played Yugioh competetivly in a long time. Can anyone tell me what the staples are right now? Ive been out since Synchros came out so I dont even know what Synchro and XYZ staples there are.

I'm still a little confused on XYZ but Synchro's are basically slightly better fusions, seeing as some are ridiculously a lot stronger than Certain Fusion monsters and require less cost.

Xyz are basically,

>Get 2 monsters with same level on field
>Put one on top of another (Overlay) so they can have a baby (Xyz) and put the baby on top
>Baby kills off mother and father to use it's effect.

Sad story, I know. :< Some Xyz can summon themselves by overlaying themselves over other Xyz and some don't kill off the mother and father. c:

Oh I know wht they are. I just dont know what the good ones are. Every time a new mechanic shows up I always get confused what the good ones are and what the bad ones are.

and always I was wondering what the spell and trap staples are in this format right now.

In the TCG, your general staples as far as levels you can access are:


Rank 1: None
Rank 2: Gachi Gachi Gantetsu, Number 96
Rank 3: Number 20, Number 17, Leviair, Zemaines, Number 30, Temtempo
Rank 4: Number 39, Number C39, Photon Papilloperative, Maestroke, Gem-Knight Pearl
Rank 5: Tiras, Zenmaioh, Number 12
Rank 6: Photon Strike Bounzer, Inzektor Exa-Beetle
Rank 7: Gaia Dragoon (overlays on a rank 5-6), Number 11
Rank 8: Heliopolis
Rank 9: None
Rank 10: Gustav Max when it comes out


I only know the TCG stuff, and that's only generic Xyzs, there are non-generics too.

EDIT: temporarily setting my own warning to one of the lower warning settings, so you can see how it makes perfect sense.

Looks rather simple to me, so I'm not quite sure what's the commotion.

Well i've always considered %100 the maximum, so have %100 of your warnings, I suppose It makes more sense once you say it, but still.

And Yes I just thought the whole warning bar would be green, so It wouldn't really work.
