Re: [KHN] Onslaught Fetches
Well, shit. I think we've found the money cards of the set, assuming they go over well as part of two newer formats.
Mind you, they're not enemy fetches, but they're still fetches nonetheless. Let the wallet-breaking begin.

My Commander decks rejoice. On the other hand, the enemy fetches will be expensive as f*** now.
Great news for MtG.

Shards now get significantly less painful mana bases in modern.
After reading one of the articles that said too many lands were entering tapped during development, I actually entirely stopped expecting Fetches, so this is fantastic.

Re: [KHN] Onslaught Fetches
I've noticed that what really, really irritates me about this is that the Onslaught ones look so much better and they'll probably still be grossly unaffordable. I want my old border lands!

Re: [KHN] Onslaught Fetches
I'm not a massive fan of the art either i.e. Adam Paquette/Noah Bradley wasn't involved. By far the best landscapists in Magic.
Although I've always loved the new frame, so screw the Onslaught ones.

I like Vincent Proce and Daarken though.
And I'm a fan of the new border as well.
Chris, there's a solution to your problem. You can get the old arts in new frame, and in foil on top of that! Just get the judge foil ones.
Ha

Re: [KHN] Onslaught Fetches
I like both Vincent Proce and Daarken's art, but neither of them specialise in landscapes. They've done about 5 land cards between them ever, plus the two here.
Not bad, but there's definitely experts in it which they didn't utilise.

Re: [KHN] Onslaught Fetches
It's not that I prefer the old artwork, I actually prefer the newers ones slightly. It's the old card frame that I adore on lands.
