Hmm, you should maybe try reading the VN for the first route then. UBW and Heaven's Feel are fine without delving into the first one, but you get a lot of the characters personality, motives and traits in the introductory one.

It does. Except you have to hunt down for it a little more than something like Katawa Shoujo. Try looking on the piratebay since that's maybe where I found my copy with all the patches I wanted.
