I'd like to see another Sword here too, but it's really tight for space.

This build has 6 Islands, so kinda too little.

I considered SoFaF, but I'll see where it goes with 1 for now.

Is Doom Blade that good in Modern over a plethora of Other Removal Spells Aviable?

I haven't did Modern for like a year now, so...

What else you could see in place of Blades?

Snapcaster Mage isn't as good as Vendilion Clique against Jund and UW(R) Control. It is also better in Tron Matchups.

Sword of Feast and Famine is going to be the best sword you can play with Fae since it keeps your lands open and decreases the number of problems to deal with.

Cryptic Command, besides Bitterblossom, is the card that can keep this deck together before Mana Leak and Spot Removal. All modes are relevant and there is no reason to not play 4.

Smother is better than either Throat or Doom Blade since it deals with creatures in any shape or form against Jund, Affinity, and other pesky matchup.

Dismember is just faster and can deal with creatures that Smother can't.
