Turns out I'd managed to save up enough tix to sell off my Storm deck to buy into this. Regardless of people's opinions on how UWR is just the best way to play Blue control in modern, there's no denying Cruel Ultimatum is definitely what Sphinx's Revelation wants to be when it grows up.

The problem is with Grixis Control is the inconsistent mana base when using Fetchlands. Other than that, the deck performs very well and would be one of the top contenders if it had Polluted Delta and Bloodstained Mire. Which, it also helps with Tectonic Edge giving the edge above most other decks.
