    This deck looks sweet Smile

I blame you for my love of MBC by the way.

The Plate Mail sounds very interesting. It can be useful on  Nighthawk, or just to use on a creature.

Personally, I blame MBC's awesomeness. If black had counter spells, it'd be the only deck I'd ever play.

The fact that the Plate Mail is a sizable threat by itself, turns Nighthawk into a pseudo-Griselbrand, is Mutilate and sorcery-removal-in-general-proof, and that multiples work amazingly well together makes it by far the best possible addition from M14, next to Corrupt - The theory behind which is amazing.

I could see Black Counter spells making sense. You would keep your opponent from playing their spells by offering something, like life or sacing a creature or discarding a card.

Teehee. Dash Hopes and Withering Boon.

And I'd play 4 Doom Blades, 2 Victim. It's marginally more consistent than Victim with your red splash. I think Doom Blade just hits a little more in the metagame; Huntmaster especially. You can't hit Voldaren either way, so it's Dreadbore for that.

The red splash doesn't at all affect Victim, since every mana source produces black mana.

I do like how Victim hits Varolz and Cartel Aristocrat, though, but Huntmaster's more than likely more important.

    Oops, brain went cuckoo there.

I say it depends on what your better matchup is Game 1. Junk Aristocrats or Naya Midrange? Then, sideboard accordingly.
