Use this and other ramp cards to accelerate into Aetherling and pretty much win.

Huh, I need to update my self on the metagame sometime.
What's the next big event that's going on? SCG open, Grand Prix, ect.
On the card, it's always looked nice, good to see it has a deck.

Big one to take notice of is Grand Prix Las Vegas.
Competitively, Plasm Capture is just too mana intensive to bother. Great fun though in Commander if you need a second Mana Drain.

Well yes, it's a casual deck. Aetherling is a good metagame card on pure control decks, but Plasm Capture is too slow and mana intensive.

Mana drain was used before in Tubroling.dek back when Morphling was the go to card. It was a lot faster than what this is capable of doing to the speed and still was just a casual deck. This is a strong functioning card. Given the circumstances, it doesn't help a lot in the current format much anyways. Though, EDH decks do take the value of this card to substantial levels and have spectacular results, better in multiplayer and 1v1 with a wider variety of cards though.
