Mono-black EDH can't run anything with Extort because Extort makes the card's colour identity BW :C

I realised that, but I Extort was a very specific example. But you're right.
After checking, the main reason why Extort works in mono-black is because of the way it works in the rulings with colour word-changing words.

Well, Dimir do have a public face on Ravnica. So it makes sense.

Aside from that, MBC got a new toy...maybe they're trying to make it good in Standard? :O
Wait until the set is fully released before saying that a card is good or not. You never know what to expect.
