And IMO, this memory you're talking about is nothing more than skill itself. You have the ability to see how your opponent can fare and the ability to know how your deck can fare.

Memory is the ability to remember specific card interactions and functions.

Skill is the ability to play out a series of events on the spot, without prior focus on that specific lines of plays.

Eggs is a deck that requires memory.

Decks like Jund and U/W tempo are decks of the latter kind, they require a huge amount of unplanned plays to take place, and players must make incredibly difficult decisions in a lot of scenarios.

Doesn't change the fact that the memory is a skill, right?

And Eggs.dek requires a lot of memory, so, consequently, a lot of this skill.

I never said Eggs.dek was the best at skill or was fair or fun. I just said it is deserving of at least one victory since it showcases one of the sides of this card game in a very good way: interactions between a lot of cards and off-the-battlefield interactions.

Yes. It does change the fact. You can remember all the interactions of a Melira Pod deck, doesn't mean you know how and when to use the right interactions in a given scenario, for example.

No. Literally all he has to do is know the interactions of his own cards. He could've done almost as well without even knowing squat about decks he was playing against. The only difference lies in counterspells, essentially. Against any non-blue deck, he just plays his own game without even looking at his opponent's board.

Except Jund had good answers for it, like Slaughter Games.

But yes, this deck is extremely hard to side against.

Jund literally needs to draw and resolve Slaughter Games at the perfect time, and Cifka sided Grapeshot in too anyway. It's near impossible to play against with a non-blue deck, since there's nothing to interact with.

Second Sunrise did require skill to play, even if you dont like the deck you cant just say it's skilless.

On a dfferent note how is everyone today? Im kind of bored so I might be up for some EDH if anyone else wants to?

I need to find a new EDH deck to make sometime, something with RGB.

Take your sweet time, and win on your own terms, OR, run an autopiloting OTK.

Oh of course. It will be like that because of competitive spirit. You want to win before the other player.

It's the Dark World field spell that basically lets the deck work so damn well.
