It's not broken. No card in standard currently is.
It's very good - the best creature in standard unarguably - but it's by no means unbeatable.
I've had quite a few games just playing U/W/R tempo, and Thragtusk's come down multiple times, resolved, and done absolutely nothing because I don't care about creatures on the ground, and that's Thragtusk's problem, if there's any aerial threat then he does next to nothing, except maybe act like a Fog.
He can't get past Angel of Serenity or Drogskol Reaver, while when he dies he does leave behind a 3/3, it is just a 3/3 with no more value from there, the 5 life is often a Fog and he can't always dig you out of losing scenarios. Zombies are running Aristocrat to essentially negate Thragtusk and continue to outrace anything running him. People are realising counterspells are still good. Rakdos keyrune just laughs at him. He also has next to no way to outrace a Sigarda.
