The premise of the deck was invented to beat Jund up by basically ruining its already inconsistent mana base. Every Cascade spell will eventually cascade into either Sea's Claim or Spreading Seas, in a big chain reaction.

    4 Bloodbraid Elf
    2 Sphinx of Lost Truths
    2 Frost Titan

    4 Wrath of God
    4 Captured Sunlight
    4 Ardent Plea
    4 Spreading Seas
    4 Sea's Claim

    4 Ajani Vengeant
    2 Tamiyo, the Moon Sage

    4 Misty Rainforest
    2 Scalding Tarn
    1 Arid Mesa
    2 Hallowed Fountain
    1 Breeding Pool
    1 Temple Garden
    1 Sacred Foundry
    1 Steam Vents
    1 Jungle Shrine
    1 Seaside Citadel
    1 Tectonic Edge
    4 Island
    3 Plains
    2 Mountain
    1 Forest

I don't get it. Why Spreading Seas or Sea's Claim?

    They're mana hosers.

If you use them against Jund, they can't make a single play.

Against most decks, they are effectively either:

    U: Destroy target land.
1U: Destroy target land. Draw a card.
