But if you had to choose a card what could be seen as the most recognizable card of Magic or the card that every Magic player should know, which would it be?

Magic's signature creature/card
Alright so Yu-Gi-Oh! got the Dark Magician and Cardfight!! Vanguard got Blaster Blade, what would you say is the "Signature" card of Magic the Gathering? I know Magic the Gathering started out as a card game rather than a Manga so it probably doesn't have an official signature card.

Jace has been their "mascot" since he was printed.
Still say Tamiyo should have that spot.

Those aren't Iconic...Just Broken and Expensive...XD
Things like Akroma, Morphling, Masticore, Niv Mizzet, etc, are what people call for iconic creatures in Magic.

Oh I know Shivan Dragon and Serra Angel.
I heard Shivan was one of the best creatures for a while in the old days of magic.

Jace is literally everywhere when it comes to how WotC markets and presents themselves.
He's currently more iconic than any of those, since he's not "just a card" as it were, but a character (and at virtually every event he's at, a statue). He's essentially the Mickey Mouse of MTG.

Almost all of the Core Set Walkers get just as much advertising per say as he does.
I dont see Jace anymore than I see the others. I usually see them all together.

Millstone. I think its called.
Becuase among almost any card game, it has given the term, there by making it hugely iconic.
Also Jace.

Akroma Was a Character too She was one of the main Characters from the Onslaught/Legions/Scourge...and White most Iconic Creature for quite a While
I mean she was so Important that She got 2 Cards that Remembered us of her (Akroma's Memorial and Sword of Vengeance)

Don't forget about Urza and Serra. They've got a plethora card mentions.

Yeah all the Old Characters...
After all there is Martyrs' Tomb to remember all the fallen during the Phyrexian Invasion on Dominaria and the Memory of those like Gerrard, Urza, Barrin, Hanna, etc

WotC should move the spotlight to Liliana, Koth or Tezzeret, they're way more interesting.

Re: Magic's signature creature/card
I feel like it should be Bolas, but I guess he goes more along the lines of Magic's main antagonist?
