    A way to get rid of unneeded cards in hand, I guess?...

    EDIT: On second thought, considering you can trigger this effect at instant speed, you essentially negate counter spells on the stack.

    Suddenly I want to play Izzet again.

    Another Reason to Think there would be a Bonkers Counterspell other than Syncopate in this set???

    Essentially, this prevents counters on the stack, which is stellar. Another reason to invest in Izzet.

    So...is this part of the 'uncommon' hybrid 1-drop cycle? If it is, I'll be sad for an imperfect cycle. I'll understand why, because this is gonna cause beginners to go 'lolwut' with what it actually does.

    Still, pretty fun. Bad, but fun. Stops every counter spell, everything becomes "Put two +1/+1 counters on this card." At worst, it's just a counterspell cushion for decks that need it.

    Mutagenic Growth isn't a permanent boost.

    Eh, side board card at best, imo. Just a 1/2 for 1 if they're not playing countermagic.

    Because he's the beater that Ravnica deserves, but not the one it needs right now. So they'll hunt him, because he can take it. Because he's not our beater. He's a experimental guardian. A watchful elemental. A Weird Knight.

    ...but yeah, Hexproof on it would be pretty neat.
