If the last couple games I played him in say anything, Rod will probably love this card XD. Plus it seems pretty good. 4CMC for 4 to start, and you only have to use the -8 once for the whole game? And the +1's are pretty nice.

Card is one of the better planeswalker.

Almost up there with Jace the Mind Sculptor, honestly.

No - abilities is ridiculous.

I didn't realise it was 2 +1 when i first saw it.

I only realised after I'd traded with a mate for his foil version. And I was so very, very, very happy.

As in, I would like to play Knight-Errant on the deck I was using.

Elspeth, Knight-Errant is indeed better than Tamiyo the Kamigawa Runaway.

Elspeth's 2nd ability is devastating. She can also protect herself/chump block. Her ultimate wins you the game outright.

Tamiyo's ultimate also wins you the game outright, but the first 2 abilities aren't as good as Elspeth's. Plus the CMC 5.

Hey, this would not be true if aggro wasn't significantly better than control.

In that sense, they're just plain not comparable. Elspeth is a near-perfect aggro-oriented Planeswalker. Tamiyo, on the other hand, is the other side of the spectrum, being the near-perfect (if not perfect /totallynotbiased) control Planeswalker. They both do exactly what you want them to do in their own decks.

In my humble opinion I consider Karn the Perfect Control Walker paired with Bolas at that...XD

Tamiyo is a Good contender for the third place thought...

Just to contest that opinion, wouldn't a good control Walker have to be one that actually allows you to control the game to get to the late-game, not BE the late-game?

Personally, when it comes to the control side of it, I think it's moreso Tamiyo, then Gideon, then Liliana of the Dark Realms and Tezzeret are pretty much even, then Venser, then Karn. Bolas is on some obscure island in comparison.

My opinion is basied as in...Both Karn and Bolas are the PW Best suited to control becuase...

Karn Is the Finisher every control Deck wants...people tends to slow down and try to play carefully against control keeping its stuff save for when they can go for the Win...Karn Just laugh at that

Bolas is in the 3 More control Based colors...and once he hits the field is most likely game...

They are Just the Devasting Finisher that controls loves more than anything...

Tamiyo as told is good controller coz she can enter...sorta early and building up the control till the BIG FINALE

IDK how Liliana 3.0 is control based but I haven't even tried her yet

IDK which Tezzeret are you talking about but they are more combo based all in all

And Venser is as Good as the Stuff it can Blink...

I consider Karn more of a bomb in any deck. As for Bolas, Red really isn't more of a controlling colour than the other option in White. White, Blue and Black are by far the best control colours.

Tamiyo controls the board, then becomes the big finale if you can ultimate her.

Liliana 3.0 is a really underrated card in MBC. Fetches land, pumps Nighthawks, and kills their stuff. If you ultimate her you have a one-card-win in Consume Spirit.

Sorry, I meant Agent of Bolas, Tezzeret. The all-star of Tezzeret Trading Post, because he essentially fetches your control cards.

Honestly, idk why I said Venser, looking back, he's a midrange card, not control.

Still, just my take on it, not gonna say you're wrong or anything either.
