Gregg, have you ever had the displeasure of playing against infinitely recurring Wurmcoils and Phyrexian Metamorphs, all while your opponent can gain life and throw out meat shields at will to the point where they will beat you in advantage long before you can kill them?

I'm liking the versitility. 4 Unique effects to choose from too. Maybe 4 Mana is a bit of a steep Price to pay to get it going but it does have its uses.

Just put recurrence on Wurmcoil Engine, Phyrexian Metamorph and consider playing Ichor Wellspring a +2. You soon notice how much that affects a game.

Then yeah, to a point. You get the cards you need faster, can control the board effectively, can control life totals effectively, and you can constantly bring back your best creatures.
