At least in cardfight the game's designed to be very heavily based on luck.

Heaven forbid "fun" ever be a thing, to....Illyarcher wrote:Can I not just, get a proper degree in Card Games with my minor being Anime++Manga? I really like Vanguards method of Luck. With it, even a lower end deck can get a few wins against the top of the line high money decks

Masters in Card Games? Can it just be in Modern of Magic: the Gathering? Please? I would love just to study that at College.

Employer: So what degree do you have?
Me: I have a Major in Cardfight!! Vanguard with my Minor in Yu-Gi-Oh!..
I seriously want this to happen now because of it's ridiculousness.

You could probably justify a degree for MTG, because you can sorta earn a rough living off of being really good at it.
Plus it would be such fun to do.

So, if someone wanted to learn about computer programming/coding, where would you guys suggest looking?

Depends on what sort of language you're looking for if I'm being honest. But, a good starting language for people with literally 0 experience would be Python on CodeAcademy since you literally don't even need to download a proper compiler and it will tell you the basics.

You go to vote, and you vote for someone who renamed themselves to Kamina, and has degrees in Pokemon, Yugimonz, and Underwater basket wiving.

Actually, as far as learning any form of coding goes...
HTML is pretty damn straight forward, considering it's just formatting posts on forums/etc, taken into a more specific detail.
Plus, you know, you can get things like Dreamweaver which literally do all that for you, because they also give you the ability to view your code from a design view.

Played an EDH tourney at my shop today, went 2/2.
In my first match I had played Riku and Ccraterhooof. With Clones and Riku's ability I had somehow gotten to 56 trample damage.

I dunno, I still feel that HTML is pretty god awful if you gave it to someone with 0 experience. Like, I see where you're coming from, but with Python you could just use modules of HTML in developing a website. But yeah, that's just my opinion. If you don't like Python, try C# or Java. I can speak experience with C# on that it is a great training language~ but Java can be really verbose which means your programs will be unnecessarily big.Armz wrote:Actually, as far as learning any form of coding goes...

Well today could've gone better. Managed to 1-2 drop from the standard win-a-box.
Fortunately managed to draft the sickest mono red deck in a side draft, which included the sweet turn 4 kill of swinging with 2 Headed Cerberus and casting 3 Titan's Strength... Yeah that was a real game.
Then spent 2 hours of 2HG Commander where one player was in stead playing Legacy Merfolk. Was pretty sweet.

Well my mono-red deck had 3 Titan's Strength and 3 Dragon Mantle and 2 Cerberus with 2 Akroan Crusader. Like, it was insane.
I mean round 1 of the draft I played against someone who drew Master of Waves in 2 of 3 games but still.
Oh I also got to play Storm vs UR Delver. Yeah UR Delver is pretty good in that matchup.
I also think I kept more 1 land hands today than ever before. (For the record I didn't keep any 1 landers while playing UW Control)

Java was annoying as hell.
At least, for me it was.
Took a class on it; Drove me up a wall; etc.
That aside, though, anyone here ever tried Alice?:
More or less it's a rather ghetto programming engine, but you can do a bunch of silly things with it.

It really reminds me of Scratch, yet for a 3-D environment. Look pretty cool to introduce children and such into the concepts of programming.Armz wrote:That aside, though, anyone here ever tried Alice?:
