So, flavour-wise or gameplay-wise, which clan is your favorite one, guys? I'm really interested on Jeskai, in fact I'm really excited to build a Narset EDH or beating people with Flying Crane Technique and kung fu monks, but I think that Mardu and Temur will be ridiculous in limited and maybe constructed (I know that we didn't saw most of the uncommons and commons yet, it's just a feeling). What about you guys?

    (Also, I'm back, lol)

    Welcome back!

I'm very excited for Temur. It's my favorite color combination (Maelstrom Wanderer colors) and it indeed seems pretty strong in limited. I'll love playing with it.

I'm personally super hyped for Jeskai. It's one of my favourite colour combinations, roughly tied with Grixis, Azorius and Esper. Prowess is also exactly my kind of mechanic, since I adore generally knowing I have the upper hand in limited combat and Prowess just further pushes that.

As the resident Vorthos guy, Abzan. The philosophies and worldbuilding in that clan are so absolutely solid. Detailed, gorgeous clan.

From a play perspective, Jeskai. Love me a good bit of tempo.

I actually need to read up on all their flavors, I don't really know what they're all about yet.

I personally love how Abzan embody WBG so well. They're fundamentally selfish (B) but not for the 'self' because they believe the 'self' is their family (W). Survival of the family at all costs, and their 'life goes on' approach. And they have cool things like kin trees and stuff. Jeskai and Sultai are a little bit more cheesy and/or clichéd, and we've still Mardu and Temur flavour to see in full.

Oh! I've always wanted to see that kind of Neutral outlook! Smile  A kind of a "If your not one of us, we don't care what happens to you" outlook.

Thanks. And I expected you to like Temur because of the Maelstorm xD. Also, they're really Timmy, but reasonable at the same time IMO.

For some reason I feel like Jeskai is supposed to be cliché. It's that kind of "Dumb, yet awesome" flavour. Also, I'm really excited to see Temur flavour.

Yeah, Jeskai's clearly been built as a clichéd clan. Just going off every martial art trope possible and sticking them into one culture. I mean, look at the planeswalker's guide. Something about monks having to walk 15,231 or something steps on their hands. Monk ordeals and all that. I guess for the better though: might as well bash your head with it if it's so straight-forwardly cool Razz
