    More Taylor Swift

Post by .Rai on Mon Aug 18, 2014 11:59 pm

Just came out to day, brought to my attention via Agro. I have a lot of musical thoughts to articulate about this, but her new album's been clarified to be a pure pop album. Imogen Heap's writing on it, promising.

but this video literally so much wat

I am a fan of this. It's different to a lot of her other stuff, but different != bad.

Really quite looking forward to an entirely pop album of hers, since I really liked the more pop songs from Red.

She says it's inspired by 80s pop. Not that this song sounds like 80s pop at all, more like 90s pop or early 00s pop with the brass instrumental and the Gwen Stefani chant, but I imagine some other tracks will, which is also great.

I do like the sound of a pop album. People can say a lot of things about Taylor Swift, but her ability to write a good pop melody is absolutely not something that can be laughed at.

That's actually really impressive. She has been slowly progressing from Country to Pop and now she's fully Pop, and this song is pretty cool.
