This deserves its own thread. It's so good.

    I wouldn't say so.

Rule of Law is more resilient, while Ethersworn Canonist is cheaper with a more relevant power.

Like, I honestly don't get this card's printing. It does nothing in standard and even less in older formats.

Well, depends what other iconic white global enchantments you'd rather have. The JOU gimmick is putting iconic enchantments onto bodies:

Eidolon of Retoric - Rule of Law
    Nyx-Fleece Ram - Ajani's Mantra
Cyclops of Eternal Fury - Fervor
Eidolon of the Great Revel - Pyrostatic Pillar

I'm sure it has a place somewhere in the format. Maybe.

The only issue I have is it's the only one that's really a worse version of the original.

The Cyclops is close to worse than Fervor, but it's not absolute shite in limited.

I guess in the same way this is at least a 1/4 for 3, but that's really not useful all that much. It does stop Heroic expanding its board position and targeting something in the same turn though. Y'know ignoring Launch the Fleet which is bonkers and a rare anyway.
