    This thread serves 2 purposes.

    Archangel of Thune 5

    1. Why is this back to 30 dollars?

    2. My playmat arrived! <3

It's back at 30 dollars because players want it for U/W control's sideboard. A lot of them are just jamming 4 in the side.

I personally disagree with it since it makes the curve too high in the matchups where they come in imo.

Not gonna lie, that art is fantastic on a playmat.

Ah, well, considering UW is the best deck, I can understand the price rise.

Guess I'll just have to wait until it rotates out.

UW actually doesn't seem like the "best" deck, but definitely among the best 4 (if the top 4 counts as Mono Black, Mono Blue, RG Monsters and UW Control). Its problem is definitely its post-board games, since everything sides a ton for it and RG Monsters is a naturally bad matchup.

That's probably a good idea. Problem is it's still a Mythic with large demand from casual players and it gets some demand from modern because of its application in Pod so it'll never really be cheap.

But I believe it'll end up getting to the 10 dollars mark, or maybe lower, and I don't mind paying 10 dollars for such a good and beautiful card.

And yeah, BNG didn't shake up the meta as much as it was hoped, it's the same decks as before.

Well it's made GR monsters into a top deck, whereas prior it was just below the line. It's also only had one big tournament and that's already produced new hits like Bant Superfriends.

The GR monsters thing is actually really really relevant since the better it gets the better mono blue gets since mono blue's best matchup is GR monsters.

Given time BNG will probably have a much bigger impact. Ephara's too good to not be seeing a lot of play, for example.

Glad that Archangel of Thune is a Modern player though. Every time I see it in Pod, it makes me happy.

Doesn't make me happy since it's never on my side of the board and I don't play decks that can actually do infinite damage.
