While we're on the subject of YouTube singers that do anime covers, I could mention some of my other favorites, but all of you have probably already heard of them, so it would be a waste of time.

Re: Anime and sometimes manga club
I actually heard of her when her newest upload was My Dearest from Guilty Crown (which I have never watched). I found out about her after I watched Angel Beats! and I was searching for songs from that when I found her English cover of Ichiban no Takaramono. That was almost 2 years after she started. I sure wish I knew about her before then though. You know, I'm not bragging or anything.

I wouldn't have heard of them, because I don't take my time to listen to covers to be honest.

Re: Anime and sometimes manga club
Okay then. Well, not that anyone would be interested, but I'll share a cover I like from a few of them (they're links because I think it would look terrible with more than 1 video in a single post) in the same order that I first heard them in (not the songs, but the people).

What's western anyway? I've always been confused about it when I see it in Japanese media. I don't know if it's North America, somewhere a little closer, or everywhere west of Japan.Illyarcher wrote:Amazing western openings > Shitty weab openings.

Regardless, if you mean that the official English versions are always better, isn't a really hard to tell when not every dub changes the opening?
Just to give a heads up, if my last question doesn't make sense, that's because I can't read broken on the internet.

Re: Anime and sometimes manga club
When I say western I mean something like Oasis's Falling Down for Higarashi no Eden. Or the ending for JoJo's BA, Roundabout by Yes. When I say western, I generally mean outside of Japan.Material Vita wrote:What's western anyway? I've always been confused about it when I see it in Japanese media. Sorry for my bad English, but the country where I'm from butchers the language in the worst form possible and I honestly try my best at it which is kinda sad. Sorry again.

Re: Anime and sometimes manga club
Oh, I'm sorry. I honestly didn't think of that. Which was bad of me.
I think most people would agree to that, then. Granted, most people don't watch anime. But even though I like random English covers of songs in other languages, I wouldn't pick a side because I like both, and aren't really in preference to either.

Where are you from? And I suppose you have a point with JoJo but that's a special case. The REAL correct answer was Initial D's eurobeat OST.Illyarcher wrote:Sorry for my bad English, but the country where I'm from butchers the language in the worst form possible and I honestly try my best at it which is kinda sad. Scotland. Now before you go on a tangent and call me retarded for not knowing proper English, buuutttttt. People in Scotland really don't speak very concise English.Remo wrote:Where are you from? If I'm being honest, I have all of my musical knowledge introduced to me by JoJo.

Gah, the Oerimo game is so cute and shipping and great!
Why can't we ever get English releases on Visual Novel games?

Apparently it's not a new intro, the Japanese have had it the whole time and we're only just now seeing it.
