This down time of YCM is merely a sign of the times before our Lord YCMaker returns to rule the internet in power and glory.
In all seriousness though that's cool. I can chill with y'all.

Diablo looks interesting to me. I need to try it out sometime to see if I like the genre.
If you like action RPG/BA games like Warcraft, LoL, etc but don't like clicking a lot, then you'll like this (though I guess if you're not playing the console version, then that depends.) I'm surprised at how much fun I'm having playing it.

What are you talking about? There are PLENTY of games. :/
And that's disregarding both future releases and the digital selection.
It's just like the Wii-U... an early investment for what's to come. With the Wii-U, I got it for Smash Bros, Hyrule Warriors, Mario Kart, and Splatoon. The PS3 was mainly for No Man's Sky, but I've come to really like Trials Fusion, Diablo 3, and Knack. Also pretty pumped for Shadows of Mordor, Bloodborne, Unity, and Uncharted 4.

I'm glad I'm not the one who thinks it's basically a Halo/Borderlands hybrid.

Eh, I played it for like 15 minutes and it's already boring. I might return it.
That being said, it was pretty hilarious hearing my dad's reaction to how much I spent on it.

As usual... YCM explodes.
I'd post that Smash Bros image again, but it feels redundant.

A really awesome set that was executed very well. Has flaws, but which set doesn't?

Means Esper has a much smoother mana base, so I'm happy with that.
Also reprinted fetches means I can actually borrow blue fetches from my friend when I play Storm, since the only spare blue fetches he had before were just 4 Tarns, now I can play the full 7. Should also make getting the last 3 fetches for Storm on mtgo cheaper for me too.
Most exciting part of what Kahns has added though has got to be Treasure Cruise and Dig Through Time, though. Along with Jeskai Ascendancy, although I'm personally happier for the first 2. Although the fact that Jeskai Ascendancy gives standard a real combo deck (as opposed to whatever sort of combo Green Devotion was with BTE) is much appreciated and I think it gives standard a fantastic new dynamic that it hasn't had for too long. Treasure Cruise is just the best thing in Legacy. I've been playing a Jeskai Delver list this evening on xmage a ton using Bob Huang's main deck, although with Polluted Deltas over Arid Mesas for bluffing reasons since there's no basics anyway and both get all of the duals available, (here: http://www.channelfireball.com/articles/cruising-to-victory-in-new-jersey/ there's a bunch of lists in the article, I'm using the Jeskai one (obviously)). I've also adored Dig Through Time's impact on modern, both as a card Twin can use to make it even more consistent, and as a cheap way for control decks to dig for their win cons/Cryptics late in the game. My favourite play was probably just Digging into 2 Esper Charms and drawing 4 extra cards in the control mirror when we'd both been exhausted of resources.

I hear that Jeskai Ascendancy has inspired a combo deck. Can anyone tell me what the combo is? How big of a presence does it have right now?

It top 8'd the standard pro tour.
The combo is always a mana dork or two, and spells, basically. In standard the win condition being Retraction Helix, a 0-cost artifact and an Altar of the Brood, which mills the opponent out in one turn.
In modern, the combo is a mana dork, along with a lot of free or cheap cantrips which turn into rituals, then eventually Glittering Wish for a Flesh/Blood for lethal. People are worried that it's too good for modern, but it's honestly not if people actually prepare for it.

The deck does break the 4 turn rule, as it can consistently win on turn 3 and not rarely win on turn 2.
But yeah, it's all a matter of being prepared for it.

Anyone heard of Nanowrimo (National Novel Writing Month?).
It's basically a group of people who try to write a 50,000 word novel in November. I was thinking of trying it out this year , it sounded interesting.

If left undisrupted. But if they keep it because of this, they need to unban Seething Song as well.Rodrigo wrote:The deck does break the 4 turn rule, as it can consistently win on turn 3 and not rarely win on turn 2.

I worked on a novel when I was a freshman that I did during November, which was 49,000 words. I missed the cut off by 1,000- words, but I wasn't all that disappointed.

Drinking the tears of NaruSaku fans around the world to my delight the past 3 weeks. God bless Naruto's ending has sustained me with the amount of salt to last another 15 years before Naruto GT.Jordan, Lich Lord wrote:So, how's everyone been doing?
