Welp, I just took my 2nd SAT for school today on a set sleep of only 2 hours. I think I did okay, but I ended up fixing up my manabase for a few decks during it so I really don't think my head was completely there. I also drew a little on parts of the test. I hope they don't think that I am insane or anything like that, but I don't really care as long has my score is better than last time.

I also am going to be going to about 4-5 PTQs over the next twp months, and plan to head up to GP Boston/Worcester at the end of next month. Hopefully I can last two days if I make it to day 2. But, once school is out for me; still in High School, I plan to be focusing a lot more on competitive MtG in Modern. Will be fun, and hopefully it is a lot more of an effort than just play testing with my group.

Alright, my last A level exam's tomorrow morning then I'm done forever. I will say these past two weeks are the most draining weeks of my life, at least from a morale perspective.

I do need to get a summer job, really, but at least other than that I can relax again. That is also ignoring that it's the modern ptq season AND wmcqs are coming up too.

Speaking of Magic, and for the sake of discussion.  After the rotation at M15, what decks do you guys think are still going to stick around and playable?

About half of my RDW is going to be gone, so I'll have to see if enough good red cards are in M15 to justify playing it until Kahns of Takir gets here.

We don't know what's in M15 yet, let alone Khans of Takir.

If THS block says anything then the best decks will be Naya-esque Elspeth decks, BUG control decks or similar, Black devotion decks, Blue devotion decks, GR aggro decks, Red weenie decks, WU or WR Heroic decks, potentially some form of Reanimator.

I'd imagine a lot of those won't be too relevant though. RTR block was miles off of what actually happened.

I'm just going to hope for a good control deck. Jace is a planeswalker in M15 most likely, so that's already a good start, also Jace's Ingenuity's being reprinted. Also Radiant Fountain might make for a decent vanity land (in this case a colourless land if you have enough coloured sources). Soul of Ravnica also looks better than what a lot of people want to think, if only because we're not going to have anything like AEtherling post-rotation. Although we'll still have Elspeth, so maybe it's just completely irrelevant.

Yeah I know, with a lack of knowledge of the next 2 sets our speculation has little chance of being correct.

Still, it gives us something to talk about at least

Hello. Doing pretty well.

Enjoying my anime weekend. I think I might be following too many different shows.

I've apparently recently surrendered my life to FTL. It's too f****** addictive.

What do you guys think of M15? Like it? Don't like it?

As a limited set, given I've done a single prerelease; Absolutely love it.

As a constructed set, it's lacking what M13 and M14 had, but it's certainly not a bad set. Only wish it had more tools for the control mage since it looks like unless Khans has some seriously good control stuff the archetype's fucked post-rotation.
