Duel Decks: Jace vs. Vraska

The history of Ravnica has long been shaped by the struggle for supremacy among its ten feuding guilds. A tenuous peace keeps the power of the guilds in balance, but they would need little excuse to reignite the smoldering coals of a conflict that could engulf Ravnica’s world-spanning city.
Jace Beleren, a mind mage who has adopted Ravnica as his home, has seen to it that the delicate peace holds. He has become the Living Guildpact, the embodiment of the guilds’ agreement to share power, and he works tirelessly to preserve that peace.
The deadly gorgon Vraska, a Planeswalker who was born on Ravnica, is an assassin for hire who follows her own arcane moral code. She is a master of her trade, killing her marks and then disappearing into the tunnels of Ravnica’s vast undercity. Though she works mostly with the Golgari guild, she is bound by no permanent allegiance.
In the wrong hands, Vraska’s skills could destabilize an entire world. With a few key assassinations, suspicions would lead to accusations, and accusations could lead to war. Jace, the caretaker of Ravnica’s peace, refuses to let that happen.

So, Jace again. The first Planeswalker to get 2 Duel Decks. Personally, I wished it didn't have to be him. Gideon vs. Vraska would be much cooler. At least this is sure to keep Jace's price down for the last 5 months he'll be legal in Standard. Plus, his artwork on this one is so much worse than the regular card D:

In the whole art featuring both of them Jace looks a lot better. On the card itself, not so much.

Glad I got all 4 of my Jaces when they were cheap anyway. The decks should be pretty sweet value though.

I am the only one who thinks the new Jace makes him look a tad like Tom Cruise? 

OT: Love the choice of Jace for the duel deck, hate the art for both of them. All that I'm wondering is what stuff they'll be reprinting in here? Since it's another Ravinca one in a short space of time.

Am I the only one not bothered by the art? It looks fine to me.

If you need anything to sway your feelings; Regular Jace, AoT costs upwards of 25 bucks. This is a foil Jace, AoT with alternate art with a foil Vraska with awesome art and two decks for 20 bucks.

I personally don't like what Igor's done with Jace's eyes, mostly. They really stand out and look really off. It's my personal gripe with a lot of his art.

Shame really. He's the same artist that illustrated Elesh Norn, Geist of Saint Traft, Griselbrand, Haunter of Nightveil among a bunch of other great pieces of art.

Vraska's essentially on the same level as the original, great stuff; Jace's side is really weird. I agree with the thoughts of him looking like Tom Cruise, and also that Igor Kieryluk has a weird thing with eyes (on a side note, his art in Theros is a little off compared to his amazing stuff in Innistrad block).

We've already had Izzet vs Golgari, which sounds really similar (shares 3 colours in common, both on Ravnica, both share Golgari guild). Depends what the value's like in the deck.
