    [MtG] Voyaging Satyr

Post by .Rai on Sun Oct 13, 2013 12:36 pm

Well, this was one card I wasn't expecting to see being played this weekend. Turns out it's fricking awesome with Nykthos. It's mostly being used to power out Monstrosity, specifically Polukranos' X-cost Monstrosity, but I'd love to see it power out a Sphinx's Rev or Rakdos' Return in a Bant Control or Jund Midrange deck. I WANT TO SEE BANT RETURN.

Not just this card. Who expected Mono Blue Aggro to be this much of a thing? xD

A real shame the japanese guy didn't get to the finals. His deck is my favorite Standard deck by a long shot.

The deck that runs this and ramps Nykthos to up to 20 mana on turn 4 o.O

So much fun to play with.

Mono-blue Aggro and Ramp. This standard will be really weird.

But that is why the standard is actually so much fun.

Reasons why I'd like to play RG Ramp or Naya keep piling up.

Mono-blue devotion was inevitable the moment people realized making tons of dudes was actually okay because nobody was boarding Ratchet Bomb.

While I'm not a Green fan, I will admit Mihara's deck was very sweet.

Mono-U devotion is only a thing because Supreme Verdict isn't the be-all-end-all card of the format. Once control and non-red removal numbers start piling up (if they do) Mono-U will severely drop in popularity. The matchup is just so heavily favoured for control.
