Doctor Who is a British science fiction television programme produced by the BBC. The programme depicts the adventures of a Time Lord, a time-travelling, humanoid alien known as the Doctor who explores the universe in a sentient, telepathic time machine called the TARDIS that flies through time and space, whose exterior appears as a blue police box from London in 1963, when the series first aired. Along with a succession of companions, he faces a variety of foes while working to save civilisations, help people and right wrongs.

In addition to the previous 26 serials of the classic series, we are now patiently awaiting Series 7 to kick off later this year. We are currently on the stories of the Eleventh Doctor, portrayed by Matt Smith. His current companions are Amy Pond and Rory Williams portrayed by Karen Gillan and Arthur Darvill respectively.

Discuss the series as a whole, classic series, and revival series. Along with the movies, such as The Five Doctors and The End of Time.

Cherry, I need you to come live with me and be my brother. I would go to you, but I got accepted to college. Doctor Who is <3. It's the only show I've seen that makes me question my world as a whole. I am now legit scared of human-esque statues, and dust mites.

It really is. This is one of, if not, the best thing I have ever watched.

Looking at things differently in the way Doctor Who has shown me, I've actually become afraid of things like Statues, the dark, or even the possibility of seeing an alien spaceship in the sky one day.

Bumping this.
August 14th is the beginning of Series 7, starting with the first episode named "Asylum of the Daleks". Every kind of Dalek that has ever been shown will be in this and more truths about them will be revealed.

Also, Episode 5 is confirmed to be Amy and Rory's final episode, while Episode 6 introduces new companions.

For the record, Moffat has confirmed that their final episode is with Weeping Angels, and it will not be a happy ending.

Not even just him, Tennant himself is an idol to most. When you realize how his life turned out, people see why.
