M14 full spoiler

Some interesting reprints, a terrible counterspell and a nice limited experience.

I would just like to point out this set has Ratchet Bomb, Haunted Plate Mail and Trading Post.

Just a couple of decent artifacts with ETB/Dies triggers in Theros, WotC, I know you can do it!

Over all  very nice set

I guess I could add more to the topic by saying Young Pyromancer is insane.

And that Xathrid Necromancer could be enough to push an Aristocrats deck after rotation all by himself.

And Doom Blade.

And the limited format looks brilliant.

And Doom Blade.

And Liliana's Reaver is horribly underrated.

And Doom Blade.

And I can now side Wild Ricochet.

And Doom Blade.

And Corrupt and Opportunity are clearly Titans.

And, oh yeah, Trading Post is reprinted.

All those sentences starting with "and" actually killed me to type out.

M12 had Titans, Doom Blade AND Mana Leak.

But this is a great limited set.

When I saw the Reaver it made me want to try out a budget thing with it. It actually looks semi playable "

I actually dislike the set compared to M10 and M13, but that's an explanation that's not worth typing out for the tenth time

I haven't actually looked at the Limited format in detail as of yet, but it looks weird though:

- Is Advocate of the Beast a deck in Limited? I mean, there's only two common Beasts, both of which are vanilla 4 drops, one of the others is Kalonian Tusker, an uncommon, and the other is Garruk's Horde. So much wasted opportunity, considered that we somehow have Lizards, Cats, Wolves, Boars, Minotaurs, Horses, Salamanders, Birds in a far higher concentration. High Fliers is much better Limited archetype (shall be my choice in M14 Limited).
- The Enchantment Limited deck isn't even green. It's entirely W/B. You essentially want Blightcaster, Auramancer, Quag Sickness and Pacifism. That's it. Why is the enchantment-encouraging rare green?
- I seriously pity the man who has to play the subpar artifact deck. It's really bad in Limited. I don't even know why it exists. Artificer's Hex? Does anyone know why this is in the set. At least Turn to Slag in M13 was a great removal card.
- Can you draft mill? The answer, I think, is no; I don't think Millstone will get you there quick enough. The only way to have a decent mill deck is to get Traumatize or Memory Adept as your rare. Although Jace should win you the game anyway.

I should point out my version of a brilliant limited format is that UW fliers is an excellent deck in it.

Wow, that guy does look good.

UW Fliers looks like the most consistent deck in the format. Air Servant is amazing, because it's good for the deck, and pretty much trumps anyone else trying to draft it. Pretty much every single white and blue creature with flying is good in the format.

And Trained Condor and Scroll Thief both at common. =D

Oh and we got Domestication back in standard...althought at rare now...

Domestication at rare makes a hell of a lot of sense in this limited environment.

It is more like they aren't reprinting any more control magic at less than rare TBH

Pretty sure they've stated in the past that Mind Control is a rare card that was printed at uncommon a couple of times.

And in this format barely anything is actually not a target for Domestication, so it's essentially a 4 mana Mind Control with a few outs to it.
